An old Aboriginal didgeridoo by Jack Wherra, plain natural wood with incised designs of snakes, emus, crocodile, wombat, turtle, kangaroo, length 93 cm. Signed Jack Wherra (c.1924-1980), a Ngarinyin man from the Kimberley, Western Australia. Jack developed his narrative carving style while in jail for 'tribal killings'. He received a pardon in 1963.
